Purelux Off/On/On/On HD Dial Switch is a handy rotary switch with an LED indicator for controlling three different circuits, e.g. auxiliary and work lights. The switch allows, for example, auxiliary lights to be installed to operate via a switch alone, when the switch is connected to the power or ground wire. The switch can also be connected to a relay wiring harness so that the auxiliary lights can be switched off, even if the vehicle's own high beams remain on. In such a situation, it is worth installing the switch on the wiring harness's excitation wire, so that the auxiliary light can be switched off from the switch and the vehicle's own high beams still remain in use (an excellent feature, e.g. when encountering oncoming traffic: the auxiliary lights can be switched off first and the high beams only a little later). However, with the above connection, the auxiliary lights will not come on if the car's own high beams are not on, i.e. they will operate at the same time as the car's own high beams, unless the auxiliary high beams are switched off separately from the switch.

Thanks to its Off/On/On/On functionality, the switch allows up to three different lights or groups of lights to be operated via one switch, so that one light/group of lights is always on at a time. The switch itself is connected as follows: the lowest pin is intended for continuous current (e.g. excitation current). When the switch is turned to position 1, 2 or 3, it allows current to pass through to that pin and the light/lights connected behind the pin light up. When the switch is turned to position 0, it does not allow current to pass through, so none of the lights light up. The + and - pins in the middle of the switch are intended for the switch's LED indicator.
