The Purelux On/Off/On HD Dial Switch is a handy on/off/on switch for controlling, for example, auxiliary and work lights. By connecting the switch to the excitation wire of the auxiliary light relay harness, the auxiliary light can be operated solely via the switch, so that the auxiliary lights can be turned off from the switch, even if the vehicle's own high beams are still on. This is a useful feature, for example, when meeting oncoming traffic, as the auxiliary lights can be turned off first and the vehicle's own high beams only a little later. With the above connection, however, the auxiliary lights will not turn on if the car's own high beams are not on, i.e. they will operate at the same time as the car's own high beams, unless the auxiliary high beams are separately turned off from the switch.

Thanks to the On/Off/On functionality, the switch allows, for example, the control of two (or even four) different additional lights via the same switch. The outermost pins are power and ground for the switch's LED light.

The switch itself is connected as follows: the lowest pins (right and left) are for continuous current (e.g. excitation current). When the switch is turned to the left, it allows current to pass through to the top pins. The right pins are connected, and the left pins are connected. When the switch is turned to the right again, current is passed through to the middle pins (left to left, right to right). This way, for example, the roof and bow lights can be switched on at different times, allowing the lighting to be controlled according to the circumstances.
