Purelux Blizzard is a versatile plow light approved for road use, equipped with separate high and low beams, direction indicator, parking light function and heated lens. Another exceptional feature is that the direction indicator and parking light module can be mounted either on the right or left side of the light, or alternatively on top of the light. So there is no need to buy a separate left and right-hand version of the Blizzard; the same light can be used on both sides of the vehicle. The wide beam pattern provides a wide and even illumination of the vehicle's immediate surroundings, making it easier to see road edges and ditches, for example, even in challenging conditions. The measured light output for short lights is 963 lumens and a range of 170 meters @ 1 lux, while the measured light output for long lights is 2508 lumens and a range of 271 meters @ 1 lux.
The Blizzard is an excellent choice for heavier vehicles such as tractors and loaders, but is particularly useful in ploughing equipment where the plough often obscures the vehicle's own lights behind it. The lamp's 4 mm thick tempered glass lens is an effective heat conductor, and the automatically heated lens ensures that the lens stays permanently melted, even in slushing snow or sleet. The heater is always on when the light is on and has its own power cord to connect the heater behind a separate switch. The heating can also be switched on at any time, e.g. when the vehicle is running.
A robust aluminium body, a stainless steel mounting base and the highest possible tightness rating (IP69K) ensure that the luminaire will not give up under heavy use, without being subjected to shocks and bumps or extreme conditions that test its durability. The mounting base supplied with the luminaire can be fixed either to the base or to the rear of the luminaire, depending on the mounting position, so that the luminaire can be adapted to any vehicle. A DT-6 connector is integrated in the rear of the body, and a connector mating part is supplied with the light to facilitate connection.
